Cadet might get the #3 spot

Cadet sure is getting sucked off a lot for a guy that has totaled 15 carries for 23 yards in the preseason. I know Ivory hasn't looked great, but he has shown that he can get it done in the regular season. Ingram is capable of catching the ball out of the backfield. PT is elite on screens and Sproles is the best all around receiving RB in the NFL. We don't need another pass catcher, we need a guy to run the clock at the end of games after PT/Sproles/Ingram did all the dirty work.

PT and Ingram can do that better than Ivory anyway. I just don't feel we need to hold onto Ivory for protection in case the others get hurt. Your 4th RB should be a STs contributor, Ivory gives you no STs support plus he has ball security and injury issues. No saying this new guy is the answer, but just don't think holding onto Ivory is that important!

This. You'd think he's looked like Barry Sanders the way he's being talked about. Catching a bunch of release valve dump offs does wonders I guess.

And fwiw, Joique Bell was way more impressive than Cadet has been and he did it with a bad knee. He got put on the practice squad.

They aren't dumping a 24 yr old 5ypc back because some guy from App St. has caught a few checkdowns in 2 preseason games.
