My current mortgage is not offering Re-Fi's.

What's the best place to go in the Lafayette, BR, Tangi, St. Tammany, or New Orleans area?

Naturally, I'm looking for the best rate and the least expensive closing costs I can find.

Thanks for the help.

Iberia Bank has a flat origination fee of like 299 or 399. Pretty damn low. The remaining closing cost usually depend on the appraiser and closing company used.

The guy I used seems to have left and went to a different mortgage company, and that sucks because I had one or two issues according to the underwriter and he pretty much dealt with the underwriter like a champ.

His name is Justin Trege, and you can find where he is with a quick google, but I don't know much about his new company.

I used Matthew Rink about 2 years ago to refinance at Iberia bank. It went very smooth and there were able to close quickly. I don't know if he is still there or not...

by "mortgage company" you mean bank?

just shop around, get a few quotes, and use whoever is cheapest.

Just refinanced with Chase. 2.85 no closing costs. Sweet deal lowered my payment 450.

Got a certified letter from Chase offering me the deal. My mortgage was already with them, so with good credit they figured it was only a matter of time before I refied with someone else.did it over phone and email, notary came to house, we signed it was a piece of cake. Had 11 yrs left on original mortgage and had to refi for 15. Can either make 2 payments a month or put 450 a month in bank.
