There are migrating songbirds outside my office window that are about 1 month early. Lots of reports of early migration this year.

yessir...will be on a good friends lease between Paris Rd. and Violet all opening week...last year we were limiting out in a couple hours tops in the a.m....in the evening we could shoot till late and they would just keep coming in...

Big duck season should be pretty good for you then... except for a couple hunts we could shoot all the grays we cared to...had to avoid shooting a lot of dogris too...

used to hunt hopedale about 25 years ago...thats when limits were small and the number of ducks seen were even smaller...best thing about that lease was the redfish boiling in the ponds...always kept a rod n reel with us...when they weren't flying(usually the case at that point in time) we were fishing...

You can add spotted sandpiper to that list. Been looking at one on Cross Lake in Shreveport for a couple weeks now. He's not supposed to be anywhere near here yet.

Maybe we actually are going to get a winter this year?
