Why Wasn't Jordan in any of the NBA Video Games Until NBA Live 2000?

He wanted more money than they were paying and he could get his own games made like Jordan vs. Bird and Chaos in the Windy City.

Pretty sure he opted out of the Player's Association so he wasn't available with that license.

So, they'd have to deal with him personally, and he was probably too expensive. I think Barry Bonds had a similar situation.

Like others said, licensing and money. Jordan had his own licensing deal with the NBA and wasn't grouped in with the rest of the players in the league.

I remember Bonds not being in video games for a while during his steroid peak. Im guessing he did the same thing.
