How does this movie have 84% on RT?
WTF? Is George Clooney so independent/attractive to some that I have to continually watch shitty movie after shitty movie hoping to understand the love fest?
Not to mention, Primary Colors - same political genre, awesome cast and acting, superb dialogue, realistic storyline - 80%.

How would you compare it to Primary Colors?

I liked it. It was an interesting take on political races

I didn't go in expecting much, but I really enjoyed it.

Sometimes a movie just has to have a good story and this one did.
Maybe the first half of the movie built some intrigue, but easily it fell apart in cliches, hyperbole and the good old "everything that can go wrong, will go wrong."
Any character development established was washed away - as every character took a 180.

Phillip Seymour Hoffman saved this movie from being the shambles. His monologue about loyalty was first rate.
