Are posters cross posting just to cross post or TD is tossing posts?

If you are not logged in and try to post on another page, TD prompts you to log in. Once you do, it however defaults to the Rant but people go ahead and post thinking they are still on the board they were trying to post to (e.g. O-T Lounge).
