What interesting timing. Tennessee will beat this Florida this year. We have the better team.

Why is it that every UT fan is predicting a loss to Florida? And that every Florida fan is predicting a win against UT? Tennessee would have beaten Florida in the swamp last year if Justin Hunter doesn't tear his ACL. Tennessee will have complete continuity on offense from last year, and I think it is fair to conclude will be appreciably better than Florida on offense. Florida will be adjusting to a new system on offense. They were horrendous last year without Brantley. I just don't see there being any reasonable basis for concluding that Florida will be something other than horrendous on offense. And I'm fairly certain that you can't win if you don't score. Thoughts? Vols? Gators?
1. As bad as our offense has been since Jesus left, we still put up 30+ the past 2 games. 2. 7 years in a row, and about to be 8.

I don't just think UT beats Florida. I think UT wins by a comfortable margin.

About as brilliant as "Tennessee would have beaten Florida in the swamp last year if Justin Hunter doesn't tear his ACL."

Well considering it was 30-7 late in the third before Boom took his foot off the pedal, I respectfully disagree.

unless you specify some conference game scores, you are not going to see him fired with an 8-4 4-4 record.
We will if he loses to Florida, Georiga, Alabama, and South Carolina.

and what about the bowl game. 8-4 looks like the chick-fil-a vs the ACC #2. Let's say its Clem or Va Tech, your choice.
I'd say Dooley's fate will have been determined before that.

Getting the thread back on rail: 9/1 Richmond 3:00 (RSN) - W 9/8 Penn State 12:00 (ABC) - W 9/15 @ Georgia Tech 3:30 (ESPNU) - L 9/22 @ Texas Christian TBA - L 9/29 Louisiana Tech TBA - W (I could see it going the other way though) 10/6 @ Duke TBA - W 10/13 Maryland TBA - W 10/20 Wake Forest TBA - W 10/27 Open Date 11/3 @ N.C. State TBA - W (close) 11/10 Miami TBA - W 11/15 North Carolina (Thursday) 7:30 (ESPN) - W 11/24 @ Virginia Tech TBA - L (God help me) 9-3 is my optimism. I expect a 7-5 season though. We'll drop an easy game. We'll win a one we're not expected to.

Im not saying we win the Big12 but 9 or 10 wins in the regular season is probably going to happen.
I'm saying WVU wins the Big 12. Especially, if that OU game is at night.

since you are an actual UTk fan Ohiovol, I will defer to you on this. I think Dooley is pretty much as advertised. I would be a lot more patient (and not fire a guy with an 8-4 and an invitation to a nice bowl), because I dont see the talent in Tennessee (last time I looked you have just 3 in state 4 stars commits), and you will have to recruit regionally and nationally as Dooley himself said before he coached one game, he has to get the best from Cincinnati, Louisville and some from ATL and the north Georgia area or he cannot compete with the best of the SEC nor vs the best of the out of conference teams he needs to schedule to go with his out of state recruiting plans.
