So if the priest in my parish molested a kid 30 years ago, they need to burn down my church?

If the bishops knew about it and didnt say anything, they should definitely all be punished severely. If there was a serious issue with many boys being molested at the church and tons of people knowing, yea, they should probably just close down that church.
Not really a great analogy because the bishops would be covering it up for the sake of the church but a church and a major football program are apples and oranges.

If your church and the heads of your church knew about it, and not only did they do nothing about it, but they made a conscious effort to cover it up and in the process allowing countless other children to be molested?
