How does that change the fact that the '92 team could run the floor?

You aren't reading/comprehending what others are saying. They LOOKED "relatively" faster because they were playing inexperienced/barely college level talent.

No way in HELL would they look that fast against Chris Paul, Westbrook, LBJ, Durant, and even old man Kobe.

So that team couldn't run the floor. That's what you're saying?

eta: LBJ and Durant aren't fast by any means.

Lol LBJ is one of the fastest players in the league. Ran like a 4.5 in high school. That's pretty fast for 6'8 260.

wow you are either extremely dense or retarded.

I never said they couldn't run the floor. I just said they'd be slower doing it against an actual team filled with NBA greats (as opposed to foreign college teams).

Learn to read what is actually being said and stop arguing with yourself.

1) In high school he wasn't 260lbs.

2) That 40 time was ONE hand timed run that no one else saw.

3) If by one of the fastest you mean in the top 100 then maybe. There are about 30 guards that could run circles around him.

eta: Here's a little nugget about MJ at North Carolina:

quote:

“Smith says Jordan is the hardest worker he’s ever coached. In high school Jordan hustled so, he was nicknamed The Rabbit. Rabbit, run. When he enrolled at Chapel Hill, Jordan ran the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds. This fall he ran a 4.3. By running and lifting weights he has substantially built up his upper body and gained 12 pounds in two years, most of it in the shoulders.” November 28, 1983

What do you mean by fast? because last time i checked Lebron gets to rim and drives fairly easy which takes some type of quickness and speed and he's a great defender which takes lateral foot speed... same with Durant length of a center but ball skills quickness and mobility of a guard

Fast as in speed. The 2012 team wouldn't out-run the '92 team.

eta: And Lebron hasn't had someone defend him like an MJ, Barkley or Pippen would. Hell, I'd love to see Rodman in his heyday on Lebron. Probably would make him cry to his momma.

Btw 40 times don't matter in basketball... and we're talking about the world's greatest athletes. These aren't old men playing on a street court.

Barkley has never won a defensive achievement or made defensive team in his career... Rodman isn't on the team *shrug*

No shite. I didn't bring up 40 times. Only dispelling this crazy myth that the '92 team couldn't keep up with the current team.

So what? Dude was tough as nails and didn't mind putting his elbow into your kidney once or twice or 12 times a game. Don't know how long Bron Bron would be able to take that with his flopping arse.

Didn't say he was. Only that I'd love to see the match up. Rodman could get into Jesus' head if he wanted to.

The reason Kobe's statement is ridiculous is because the dream team front court would obviously destroy the '12 team's frontcourt. Frontcourts thrown out I think the '12 team is in the same league. LBJ and Durant are playing at crazy high levels at the same time. If Kobe was 5 years younger I'd say this team 1-4 would be as good if not better than the DT.

I can get with this to a certain extent. Durant has to do what he's doing over time but Drexler was a better scorer.
