What’s he supposed to say?

He should say "I have no idea. But that was the greatest team ever assembled so it would be an honor to compete against them if it were possible. But to say we're better, I don't know if I can say that. We're talking all time greats in Magic, MJ, Bird, Barkley, Stockton, Malone. I respect those guys way too much to sit here and say 'yea, we'd beat them'. Although the competitor in me wants to think we would."

I wish we could have sent a squad like this to the 1972 Olympics.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
Wilt Chamberlain
Spencer Haywood
Elvin Hayes
Bob McAdoo
Julius Erving
Connie Hawkins
Jerry West
Pete Maravich
Walt Frazier
Tiny Archibald
Charlie Scott

Think the Soviet Union would have hung with those guys? Some others left off the team were Bill Walton, Dan Issel, Rick Barry, John Havlicek, Artis Gilmore and George McGinnis.

I watched it live. the college kids were enough. They gave the Russians do-overs.

PS
Your list of guys LEFT OFF THE TEAM, would have been plenty good enough.

it really depends what era of rules they are playing with as well, b/c if its 80's/90's rules the 92 team is going to foul the frick out of Lebron, Kobe and Durrant and just pound them down low. If its todays era that shite would not fly and the dream team would get frustrated as frick

One thing that gets over looked is that if there were ever a defender in the history of the NBA to guard Jordan its LBJ. Defensively I think the 12 team would start D Will to guard Magic. LBJ on Jordan. Kobe on Pippen. Carmelo/Love or Barkley and Chandler on the 5. Durant would play the 2 or 3 against dream team.

the Las Vegas bookies said they would have to give 2012 8 points.
that is 1992 -8 v 2012.

Chandler vs Admiral.
Love vs Patrick Ewing
Bird vs Durant
Magic vs Le Bron
MJ vs Deron Wms

no one has mentioned that basketball is actually a team game.

Magic, Bird, Mullen were all very good passers.

Mullen shot almost 60% from behind the arc, and he took the most 3's on the team.

Basketball is def a team game. LBJ would be the best all around team player for both teams. I just think the Dream Team big men would be too much. I think the 12 team has the advantage at 1-3 but not by very much.

So now LBJ is a better player than Jordan?

I don't understand that "bird/magic would be the downfall of 1992" either. If this game happens, they rotate guys in and out and Magic/Bird could easily give you 15-20 quality minutes still.

If you push PG, 92 has advantages at SG, PF, and C...and the advantage at PF and C is huge. SF I'll give to 2012, but Pippen/LBJ would be a sight

No MJ is a WAY better scorer but let's be honest LBJ is a better passer and rebounder. He's a better all around play for an Olympic team. Now an NBA team give me Jordan every single time.

Da frick? So if you were selecting an Olmpic team you'd pick LBJ over MJ?

LBJ wouldn't out-rebound Robinson, Ewing, Barkley & Drexler. It's funny how you're completely leaving the bigs out of your theory. That's where the '92 wins. There would be no easy baskets. I think the '92 team had better all around players and knew how to move the ball. This 2012 team couldn't rely on their street ball style.

Reading comprehension is key. I've stated several times I would take the Dream Team because of the bigs. I've said it 3 times in this thread dude. Actually read before you post bullshite.
