Hell yeah, just more money I can take from you suckas! (ok I'll stop with the smack talk until the draft)

So the difficulty with starting players always comes when the bye weeks start happening. That's when up to 20% of the teams are off. So there are probably 30 rb 40 wr and 20 te worth keeping. if you take away 20% from each you get 24rb, 32 wr, and 16 te to choose from on the worst weeks. So if you take away one starting wr, rb and te for each team based on non-flex positions you have 12 rb, 20 wr, and 4 te for flex spots. so you have 36 keepers in a 12 team league for the bye weeks available to fill 2 flex spots. that, IMO, is plenty.

It forces you to look ahead, but doesn't force you to start a <10 possession rb.

Throw in the fact that we want to reduce the benches down to 4 or 5 spots, you would still be able to keep about 3 rb/wr/te on your bench per person worth keeping. You would have to be smart about your bench and not hoard prospects like some have suggested.

You make a good case...

As for the scoring:
Where are the negative points?

QB is too heavily rated (although that helped me greatly last year) Need to either add PPR or taking passing TDs to 4 points and passing yards to 1/25 yds.

This was something else I was going to bring up also.

I'm ok with dropping Passing TD points to 4 and Yardage Points to 1/25.

Anyone else?

Also, I despise negative points. Never liked them. I don't agree with this but if the majority of the league wants it, then so be it. This is a democratic league. Majority rules!

Oh and if we are going to keep doing this year after year, I wouldn't mind discussing making it a keeper league and "interviewing" replacements vs just grabbing the first person that posts in the thread.

You're on a roll, huh? Think that since you win it all one year you can change all the rules the next? (just kidding)...

I've never be in or run a keepers league so I have no idea about that but I'd definitely like to see us continue this league for as long as we can. "Interviewing" for replacements is a definite though. I'm not just going to take the 1st person.

I'm ok with leaving them out. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

If you do this, do not make it a PPR league. One or the other is fine with me.

Also consider partial points to avoid ties. I hate ties and I hate wanting that next yard or two just to get another full point.

That's the one thing I DEFINITELY wanted to change this season and wasn't even going to ask yall. No ties this season!

I was only going to do one or the other.

The league is already set up on NFL.com but we can vote on changing...

I'll add that to the proposed changes update I'm working on right now (will be posted in the original thread as soon as I'm done).

1. Upping the buy in from $25 to $50
2. Changing payout options if raising the buy in is agreed upon...
- Payout options: (with 12 teams)
- 3 ways - $400, $150, $50 or $450, $100, $50
- 2 ways - $400, $200 or $450, $150 or $500, $100
- Obviously 1 way gets $600

3. Drop 1 BENCH spot from rosters (from 6 to 5)

4. Remove 1 mandatory RB position and make it a RB/WR position (currently have 2 mandatory + 1 flex RB/WR/TE) Not sure what this means. I'd like to see:
QB
RB
WR
Rb/WR
RB/WR/TE
TE
D
K

5. Remove the current flex spot AND 1 bench spot No?
6. Change Passing Yards to 1 point per 25 (currently 1 point per 15)

7. Change Passing TDs to 4 points (Currently 6 points)

8. An option to #'s 6 & 7 above: Make league a PPR League? (It's either this OR 6 & 7. Not BOTH)
No PPR
9. Negative points? NO
10. Switching the website from NFL.com to ESPN or Yahoo or (insert website here)?

Don't care.

Definitely. This was a huge change I made in my own league last year. Being rewarded per yard is the best IMO.

1. Cool with $50
2. $450, $100, $50 or $500, $100
3-5. I'm fine with whatever y'all want to do with the roster
6-8. I've always been a PPR fan
9. I'm fine with doing away with negative points if y'all don't like it.
10. NFL.com

I PREFER YAHOO PERSONALLY

Also, and a huuuuge must (in my opinion of course) is fractional points.

I vote no UNLESS FGs are worth less than they are now.. a good kicker performance can trump a mediocre passing performance right now

7. Change Passing TDs to 4 points (Currently 6 points)
see above

8. An option to #'s 6 & 7 above: Make league a PPR League? (It's either this OR 6 & 7. Not BOTH)
unsure right now

9. Negative points?
for fumbles & INTs

10. Switching the website from NFL.com to ESPN or Yahoo or (insert website here)?
