Superior to both of what? What are you asking?

Stainless is more tolerable to rain since it is supposed to be rust proof.

Stainless guns usually have synthetic stocks, but not always.

I've got a stainless ruger 22 with a synthetic stock. It is my favorite gun.

My stainless 10/22 came with a wood stock. I did some research and found out it was a special run done specifically for Walmart. I wound up taking the stock and replacing it for the ATI collapsible/folding stock.
