Per TOS
I think this is great, a steal really. Still is getting paid by Clemson for two years so he can afford it. Real tight with Chief and can definitely help with the development of all the new lbs.

The guy is one hell of a recruiter as well.

Fire Ensminger and hire Steele as LB coach. Sounds good to me. Or sit Ensminger arse in the admin office. Something.

He knows Clemson's paying players to go there technique going to hit the fan and he wants out before it's too late.

Bama's had several former coaches interning on their staff and have been doing so since Saban's arrival. This is no different.

If it's true, it is a major steal. He's a big time recruiter and though he can't help on the road he can through contacts and when the kids are on campus. Also helps Chavis with the LBs and allows him more time to spend with the other spots on the defense.
Agree about Ensminger. Put him in an administrative role. He can still cook in that role. Can never have too many good recruiters on the staff especially with Bama recruiting the way they are.

Didn't Clemson's defense pretty much suck last year?
Posted on 7/4/12 at 9:38 pm to SaintLSUnAtl
Yes they did. If Steele were our DC then it would matter but as an intern and LB help guy, it's a steal. He's a good LB coach.

Some coaches may suck at being a offensive or defensive coordinator but are very good at being a position coach
