Is it fair to blame all white people for slavery? Some whites died to end slavery. Some white people didn't have relatives here during slavery. Some whites were just as poor, and maybe worse off than slaves. Like my mother's side who were exiled from their home and came to Louisiana with the clothes on their back. To blame all white people is very unfair.
How do blacks that are educated , lawful and hard working like being lumped together with gang bangers and crackheads? They do the same thing to whites that had nothing in their family history that had anything to do with slavery.

Whites didnt fight to end slavery because it was morally wrong. It was for their own monetary gain. Also, It doesn't matter if your family owned slaves or not. Africans were exiled into slavery all around the world. Nobody lifted a finger for hundreds of years until the damage was done. THATS LIKE WATCHING SANDUSKY SET UP A CHILD SEX RING FOR 400 YEARS ALL OVER THE WORLD and just because you didn't frick a kid I guess that makes everything ok. I guess Paterno & McQuery heads are clean too since they didn't penetrate a child  That's the problem with white Americans. How can the children of people with no morals all of a sudden have morals?

Dude, saying that all white people are guilty of slavery is like saying all black people are guilty of genocide in Sudan or that all black people have no morals and murderers because some blacks murder to get in a gang.
I AM NO MORE RESPONSIBLE for slavery than you are for black on black genocide in Africa. If I am responsible for slavery, as a white 42 year old man, that happened 150+ years ago then you are a murderer because blacks have conducted, and still conduct, genocide in Africa.

Not once in that paragraph did I blame "ALL WHITE PEOPLE". I even said blacks where exiled into slavery all over the world. I'm blaming all races that were involved in the slave trade & the ones that turned a blind eye. It just so happen that white people funded & prospered off the slave trade more than any other race. Whites from all parts of the world. Just like the spaniards conqured the Mexicans. Those whites don't get a pass either. Slavery didn't end 150 years ago or 200 years ago. There have been hundreds of reports in Louisiana & Mississippi that blacks were held against there will & forced into slavery as far back as the 1960s. And when you have white people saying, "we did blacks a favor by bringing them to the US", then you just as responsible as those racists 200 years ago. Having the same mindset as those fools and aligning your thoughts with the ones you said, "you had no part of" actually links you in with that same group.

Gotta disagree here. You see, your mother's side had one thing that protected them when they came to Louisiana with the clothes on their back; the color of their skin. If they were the wrong color, say black, then they would have been subject to a society where it was acceptable for them to be denied jobs, housing and in most cases acceptable to turn a blind-eye to being brutalized, terrorized or even murdered. No, I'd say that if you were being beaten to death for nothing or having your family sold and your wife, mother or sister being raped, you'd trade that for simply being poor. I know I would have.

Maybe I'm blinded by the fact that I think Chris Rock is a likeable, hilarious guy, but I agree with the above. The factual irony of Independence Day was that we still enslaved 100's of thousands at the time far more drastically than the English oppressed the colonists. Facts can be a bitch.
Chris Rock is still OK in my opinion.
