The reality is that we have major holes that won't be filled in January. There will be a point in the season where we find form and get a solid run of favorable results, but, unfortunately, the current squad is AT BEST the 6th or 7th best team in the league.

I think we've got some really good players. But we just don't have enough of them. Overall including our depth, our squad is quite average. An average squad = average results.

I agree... We dont have the depth (or experience) at key positions...
January should be able to plug some holes, but I'm really interested to see what happens this summer..

I think we will continue to improve. Win, lose, win, lose isn't all that disappointing for this squad in all honesty. We would like to be more consistent, but it sure as frick beats drawing every single match like we have in the past.

I think if you go back to the beginning of this thread... we all agreed it would be a season of ups and downs... gotta keep reminding myself of that... its tough to ride that roller coaster though...

Yea I'm remaining optimistic. I truly think this squad can compete for top 4 within the next couple seasons. I like the direction we are going in and think Rodgers is the man to take us there.

So, the Butland talk has really starting to heat up... I would love to buy him and loan him to an EPL team for a season and then assess him, Pepe and go from there...
Also, we may be lining up a permanent deal for Sahin

TalkSport is reporting Joe Cole wants £3.6mm from LFC to leave... this equates to about half of his remaining salary

Lineup: Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Gerrard, Allen, Henderson, Sterling, Downing, Suarez.
Bench: Gulacsi, Assaidi, Coates, Lucas, Carragher, Suso, Shelvey.
Had the whole lineup right except for Hendo, figures. Why is Sahin not even on the bench?
