How accurate is this video regarding the hips during a golf swing?

I've seen plenty regarding the hips during the swing. I tried this the other day, and for the first time in 10 years of playing golf, along with the lessons i've been taking, i actually hit the ball first and divot after.

May have been a fluke....who knows, but i saw either BP or Weave talking about moving your left pocket away from the target and this guy is saying slide the hips toward the target.

I know most is a matter of opinion and whatever works, but it's Friday and wanted to go into the weekend with something to work on...

Left hip = initiator
Left shoulder = accelerator

First thing I was taught during lessons.

the guy in the video has the right idea, but is demonstrating it wrong...go on youtube or try to find slow mo swings of any pro, and you will see that they all initiate the transition by shifting their weight/moving to their left side. If the hips were the only thing that "bumped", you would be coming way too far from the inside.

The idea is more of a whole body weight shift, then swinging around your body to get out of your own way.

Not the best example, but the most obvious one.

This

A good method to try first on the range and then eventually incorporate into your swing....hold your follow through...as you are holding your follow through, you should be able to lift your right leg off the ground and still be able to stand up. This transitions your weight from your right to left.

The toughest part with all of this is to distribute and transition your weight without swaying your hips. You don't want a lot of left to right movement.
