I have some friends in from California who would like to know some local mid-priced local restaurants for dinner tonight, price range around TJ Ribs or less. They would like something they can't get in California, of course. Any suggestions?

Take I-10 east towards New Orleans, get off at 73 and take a left. At the first intersection, take a right. Go down about a mile and stop at Chef KD's. His fried fish is some of the best I've ever had and its like $7. He also does great onion rings, a great roast beef po'boy, and good shrimp. And it's all really really cheap. They can even take home some frozen meals.
