A cap violation that was punished with a 77 game suspension and 2 2nd round draft picks being removed.

That's all this ever was.

Honestly, if it wasn't for Florio...basically no sports journalist outside of New Orleans would be looking into this.

EXACTLY and that is why you have OFFICIALS on the field and EVERY GAME is reviewed post game.

Show me where the saints were any more illegal on the field than any other team. Where did they even rank among personal fouls in the league.

Lengthy video but worth the time to view. Via baby steps we are seeing the light shine through this evil endeavor by the NFL.

Question - WHY are the Saints singled out in this?
WHO is this mystery player/source that Hargrove and Vitt seem to feel was the squealer in all this?
WILL we see some sort of backing down by the league before the season begins or does this roll forward further damaging the NFL?

I don't think the league will back down. But they might see some litigation. I don't think the litigation will amount to much but if it makes goodell's life a living hell for a little while that's good enough for me.

Well, here's another voice of reason:

@mortreport What do you make out of Goodell getting this "senator" involved in the bounty case? I think hes trying to show who's on his side

.@vice_chad29 On vacation & I'm skeptical on much of what I've heard from NFL on #Saints. Not exonerating but severity demands more answers.

Just found this, rather interesting...

ETA: How ironic that the guy that's become the unofficial torch bearer for the Saints' cause is a lifelong Vikings fan.

Well said and concise.

The whole reason for this shite is to show the NFL is doing something ahead of the head injury lawsuit. Hey look at us we're proactive!

...and when it's all said and done they'd have been better off facing those suits in the shoes they were in PRIOR to targeting The Saints for this bs. Capt. Roger is sinking rapidly.

I do applaud Florio for defending the Saints players's case so loudly & so often over the past few weeks.

But don't kid yourself, it's not because he wants to see an injustice made just.

As a journalist, he knows that a story about Goodell/NFL purposely manufacturing/embellishing evidence in order to borrow "player safety" prestige against concussion lawsuits is a much bigger story/scandal than some incentivized football whacks could ever be.

another worth reading is THIS which concisely addresses each NFL accusation and the flaws of each.

The major factor keeping the major media from tipping towards exposing the NFL sham is simple bounty fatigue. It's something that Jeff Duncan addressed yesterday.

PS: hasn't Duncan gone out as a complete douche as the Saints beat reporter? Why he stays at T-P and Varney gets canned is evidence of the poor mgmt leading nola.com to diminishing returns.

Florio after nailing-
