When you run steam as admin, right click the operation arrowhead and go to properties. Then go to local files and defrag the cache files. That seemed to help with it when I was having problems.

Recap of Burgeman and I's afternoon
We successfully raided two deer stands, shite went horribly wrong at stand #3. Survived, but Burge was down to 1000 blood. He passed out about 20+ times, no kidding.
We hit up one more stand, traded his Lee Enfield for an AK, then hit up a med yield close by. Unfortunately, had to kill someone who was asking us not, but its survival of the fittest.
Cleared the building, had to go hunting to get our blood up. Killed a pig and a cow, made a campfire and got our blood up to reasonable levels.
We had to switch servers, so cleared out the med yield again. Then we almost died when we got pinned in a supermarket. Pro tip, close the doors once you get in buildings
Broke my leg, fixed it
Burge now has an AK and a crossbow. We have gear for campfires, knives, hatchets, extra weapons, everything. All we need is blood, and we are ready to roll
