Playoffs are gay. Way to go guys, lets just make it the NFL where you can lose 9 games yet theoretically still win the Super Bowl.

ETA: What is that, the college football equivalent of 5-7?

Couldn't just leave a decent enough system alone. Just had to go improve it by making it shitty.

fricking THIS. Congrats, retards. Just like the NCAA March Madness started with 16 and went to 68, in 10 years NCAA football will be a watered down 32 team field. Nothing like ruining a kick arse regular season so a bunch of 8-4 teams can demand their right at the playoff table.

Do people really think this solves anything? Now the bitching gets worse, so more and more teams will get included. frick this.

I think you should take the committee and break the committee into 8 specific members whose only job is to watch all games from Conference X and submit detailed reports to each member and maybe release the "notes" each week to help the public determine where each team stands. Use the AP Poll, Harris Poll, ESPN Poll, and some computer form (Sagarin possibly) to find a number. Then have the committee meet at end of thanksgiving weekend. The one thing they need is to have accountability and openness to make this thing work.

Again though, this will not determine the best team, just the one that can win 2 more games.

A red herring, 32 teams is 5 weeks, the time doesn't work. To go to 64 in basketball adds 2 weekends.
