We are not talking about 10's of thousands of dollars, we are talking about $10's of millions. You are far too smart to be so navie as to think, the administartion at ND can just thumb their noses at millions because they have a large endowment. I get the traditon and don't think they should be forced to join, but several other schools have foregone tradition for the type of $$$ we are talking about.

And now they repeat gossip. I thought Christians weren't supposed to do that?

On a serious note, if FSU and Clemson end up moving, would that be enough of a destabilizing factor to get other schools to start looking at their options (NC/VA/MD/maybe GT to the B1G with VT and NC State to the SEC)?

ive gone over this ad nauseum.

to put it as simply as i can, if joining a conference was about money ND would have already joined the B1G...

if the Big12 went to LSU and said "we can offer $10 million more per year, come join us!" ---how would they respond?

point is, sometimes tradition and identity is worth more than millions of dollars. also, ND gets to advertise a 5 minute commercial every home game on NBC to millions of people; you can not put a price tag on that exposure. (and yes i realize other teams get ads, but they are often ~:25 sec. long and regionally broadcast)

Doesn't surprise me this crap came from Gaylor. No sane person would think for a second that any decent school would join the Big 12 to be tu's puppet.
