Do you think the hornets would or should do 10 for Jennings?

No thank you, please. We have two picks in this draft, so if we trade one, that literally leaves Davis as the only player on the Hornets roster that we have drafted. Trading the 10th pick better result in a badass player. That or the other team takes Ariza/Oak in exchange for a solid player or a moderate trade down.

There were rumors that we tried to go after Jennings at the trade deadline, so I think there is interest on our part. Bucks need a big man, but I can't find a way for the salaries to match up if they took Mek without us taking back one of their ugly contracts.

I would do the 10th straight up for Jennings

I'd be willing to eat Beno Udrih's shite deal ($7.8m for one year) for one season if it meant getting Jennings and dumping Mek's 2 years at $16m each.

I'm still wondering why the Bucks would want to give up their best player for a rookie.......again, I say trade for Bledsoe.

Again, Brandon Jennings has claimed that he wants to play in a big market. You're taking a pretty large risk in any trade for him, plus he's not really an efficient scorer. Jack actually had more efficient numbers across the board except for turnover rate (and they were pretty close) and offensive rebounding rate (who gives a frick?).

Their best player is Monta Ellis, who does what Jennings does, only better.

They need to move one of those guys for some frontcourt help.

Jennings has already said he wants out of Milwaukee at the end of this contract IIRC.

Flipping him means they get something rather than nothing.

And Bledsoe is NOT worth the 10 pick. There will be better players available there than him.

IMHO, the deal would be contingent on Jennings signing an extension.

I'm not necessarily huge on him, but I'm willing to kick the tires.

Yeah, not even close. Vasquez was better last year than he was (14.3 vs 11.3 PER). Trading a 10th in this draft for Bledsoe would be a fricking joke.

Not going to happen. Extensions are a thing of the past in the new CBA. They tried to put in the Carmelo rule and rather than take it out when players objected, it got butchered in the negotiations to the point where players are now better off becoming Free Agents even if they have every intention of staying with the same team.

I actually wouldn't be too worried about Jennings big market comments. If he's bored to death in Milwaukee New Orleans should be a welcome change. On the other hand if Big Market is code for Exposure, if the Hornets are winning he'll get plenty of games on the ESPN.

The Bucks would be foolish to do Jennings for the 10th pick straight up.

What better offers would they get? No one is going to eat one of their bad contracts for Jennings unless they aren't giving much back. If they want to trade Jennings without attaching bad contracts, what better asset will they get than the #10 pick in the 2012 draft for a player that's only making $3 million?

If they think he's gone like Utah did with DWill, it's probably better to move on now rather than later. #10 this year is probably better than #10 next year.

Outside of Gordon and our #1 pick, what would trade to get Rondo here, assuming Boston would trade him?

Maybe 10, JJ, and next years 1st and 2nd?

I'd rather keep #10 and get Rivers. Jack/Vasquez are solid for now with Rivers backing up the 1 and 2.

We can go after a PG at another point. I see Rivers having a high ceiling.

We don't have a second next season and there's no way they do that.

You wouldn't give up JJ, the 10th, and a mid to late first rounder in a weak draft for the best distributing/defending/rebounding PG in the NBA on an excellent contract (3/36 remaining)? Rondo/Gordon would give us the second best back court in the NBA behind OKC.

I was speaking moreso to the earlier questions about Calderon and Jennings.

As for Rondo, I'd strongly consider that if I were Demps. However, first round picks are hard to come by and important for a small market team like NOLA, since it isn't as desirable as some other locales. I'd be timid about trading away 2, a starter, and a 2nd. The draft is vital for a re-building team like the Hornets.

Are they in the market for an Ariza or Okafor?
