Or when they interview the, before.

"Yeah I'd like to get $4000 but the least I would take is $2000." Then they walk out of the store happy with like $75.

I'd like to know to what degree is it actually scripted. I've heard some people say that the producers find the items themselves, and then just find random people and tell them to pretend to bring it in.

I'm sure that's the case for some of the stuff, but I think that some of the people are actually selling their own stuff, and that leads me to my main point: 99% of people are terrible negotiators.

Rick: "How much are you looking to get?"
Dude: (looks at the ground) "I mean, I was hoping to get around $1000?"
Rick: Hell no. 100 bucks, take it or leave it."
Dude: ok...

You didn't account for the market being down because of the economy and it's going to sit in the shop for awhile, so he can only give $5 for it. And god forbid if he had to have it framed, that takes it down to $1.50.

The old man sucks. Huge a-hole. He acts like its his shop and he's running the show.

Rick's laugh is the sound of Satan. I want to kill something when he starts laughing.

I had to stay in the hospital the other night with my grandpa, and I caught this on. It was freaking awesome. People were getting hit with shovels and fighting in random backyards. I'm pretty sure it's real, bro.

If you can somehow convince yourself
That shows like that are real, it suddenly becomes the most entertaining show on televison

But thats really hard to do

This guy is way too awesome to be made up.

Seriously though, I watched like half an episode. Obviously it's fake, but I'm fairly certain those two guys are that retarded.

Here's their website. I just thought I'd let people know LINK

Whenever I watched they went and opened someone's shed to repo the car. The people saw them and ended up hitting one of them with a shovel

Cory's stupid "I'm bigger and better than you" handshake! I can only imagine how big a tool he is in real life.

I read an article not long ago that basically said the owners give random people an item and the negotiations are set up at the counter. Also a lot of their restoration jobs aren't even the same item from what was originally intended to be restored.
