quote:

"If this were American Idol, without a doubt, Manny Pacquiao would have won," Ford said. "But it was not. I gave an honest opinion. I had Pacquiao up 4-2, I think, at the end of six rounds. I thought he hurt Bradley a couple of times early in the fight. But when the bell rang to end that round, it was over and what happens in one round doesn't carry over to the next round. They're separate units.

quote:

"In the second half of the fight, Pacquiao picked off a lot of punches to the head, but Bradley landed some hard body shots. That hurt Pacquiao. I don't mean it hurt him in the sense of it physically hurting him, but in terms of scoring and piling up points. Bradley did an excellent job standing his ground as a boxer. Remember, it's a boxing match and Bradley demonstrated his ability to box expertly."

Bradley has been harshly criticized by many who believe Pacquiao won, but the fact that Bradley won the fight with two badly injured feet should say something about his tenacity.

And some comments by folks i saw on another site:

quote:

Honestly after watching the fight a second time, it could have been a draw or 115-113 for Manny, HBO needs to do a better job of getting unbias commentary. It's d|sgusting how the commentators can sway the publics opinion that a fight was not competitive and lopsided when it was close IMO.

quote:

After watching the fight again today without HBO it's a lot closer than I thought yesterday...I aint saying bradley won... But it was close... Pacquaio didnt land as many punches as the commentary made it seem.. With the crowd screaming anytime manny threw anything and the HBO team telling you what you should be seeing it was as bias as it could be against bradley. I think If these were two unknown fighters fighting people would say it was close... But with Pacquaio having the HBO team hyping every flurry he threw to how much more power he has to not mentioning any time bradley was landing those body shots it was a misleading commentary. Bradley did land a lot to the body and you can't discredit those punches because he doesn't hit as hard as pacquaio those were still his "power shots".....

quote:

1st time i scored it I had it a draw..

2nd time...6-5-1 Bradley. Really close fight.

As i stated earlier close fight if you know boxing and watch EVERY minute of every round. again i had it a draw...

I told my buddy the same thing right after the fight. The commentators had a huge influence on my perception of the fight

I'm sure it did for everybody else too.

What about every other unofficial scorer that was there (Yahoo, ESPN, AP, etc.)and not watching on TV that all had it in a large favor for Pacquiao (or was the crowd able to have that much of an impact on them, too?) What about Bradley himself, who according to Arum (who I know isn't exactly beaming with integrity, but...) said after the fight that he lost. How often do you ever hear of a boxer thinking they lost the fight, even when it's clear they did? They almost always act like they won no matter what, but he didn't in this case.

I admittedly did not see the fight, but there are so many people up in arms about it, that I find it extremely unlikely that the right decision was made. I'm not saying it was fixed (though a lot of people are arguing that), but I find it hard to believe the judges got it right if there's this much outcry, including from the experts.

again bradley did nothing is this fight outside of 2-3 rounds.

plain and simple.

pacman landed more overall, landed more power and clean shots, out classed him, and controlled the entire fight. i don't know what more you want.

watch it all day.. his reaction showed enough. his own manager thought he was beat 8-4 and he saw it live.

how about this.. did anyone watch the british commentary feeds? how was their reaction?

people who even picked bradley to win are up in arms over this decision.

"He never hurt me with his punches," Pacquiao said. "I did my best. I guess my best wasn't good enough. Most of his punches hit my arm. I don't know what happened."

Bradley added: "Manny hurt me a few times with his left hand. He's a beast. But my corner told me if I won the last round, I'd win the fight."

and then roger mayweather

"Can't lie i hate Manny but he did beat the [expletive] out of Bradley. But like i said it's no one to blame but Bob Arum," Mayweather tweeted.

"I know one thing if the judges ever pull that on my nephew. They better go under protective custody," Mayweather added.

Pacquiao landed 253 punches to Bradley's 159. And, Pacquiao landed more punches than Bradley in 10 of the 12 rounds. Pacquiao didn't finish Bradley, and Bradley hung around and was tough. But, Pacquiao easily beat Bradley in that fight.

Is it really surprising to people that Boxing is rigged? A quick google search brought up a 1900 rigged match in Chicago. This sport is as fake as wrestling and has been controlled for a very long time.

That's such BS. Do you think they are going to admit to the match being fixed?

Sorry but being a Floyd homer (and it being obvious) all arguments are made invalid by yourself

Your eyes might work but your brain must be broken because Pac won that fight and it wasn't close.

You can re watch it a hundred times if you want, a fixed fight is exactly that. No changing it now.

For every 1 person that says Bradley won, I can find another 1,000 that says PAC won. If you REALLY believe Bradley won then your full blown retard. I'm sorry but I can't watch y'all lie about something that's so damn obvious. It's like your trying to convince me the skies not blue. I know what I see and Bradley won maybe 3 rounds.

Marquez fight was razor thin. I could have seen the judges giving that one to Marquez. The only thing I didn't like was Many having to initiate every punch in that fight. I don't know if a punch would have been thrown in the match if Many hadn't thrown first. That said, Marquez is a great counter puncher! On the flip side he fricking steped on Manys lead foot 20 times so he could get his counters in . Did you ever see the YouTube on Marquez stepping on Many foot all night? That's why I didn't feel so bad after watching the fight again.

Anyway, I was pulling for Bradley on Sat night and didnt have much to cheer for. In fact, it was so lopsided I left at the end of the 11th round.

just wanted to repeat this and see if I can get a response from those that think that Bradley won or that it was close:
