Or does he?

Don't hold your breath, or do.
Posted on 6/10/12 at 10:17 pm to GeismarGeauxer
been saying that for years.

Not a shot.
Javi coached up the best hitter in the nation.

Man I hope you're right. How much would it take to get Schwanke back?
Posted on 6/10/12 at 10:17 pm to GeismarGeauxer
He's not firing his godson. He would need something like a Rudy moment where the players go one by one into his office and say they refuse to play if a move isn't made.

His hitting coach is a BBQ buddy.

how about recruiting some speed and Louisiana players who get turned away and turned off by LSU,s recruiting tactics
Posted on 6/10/12 at 10:22 pm to GeismarGeauxer
We will most likely have to peveto him out since PM ain't firing him.

He isn't changing a damn thing. We have no speed, little power, and are weak hitters. Also don't know how to play fundamental baseball...see getting thrown out on a walk yesterday and today we allow there rubber to get to third on same situation.
LSU needs to start recruiting hard nosed never give in players like Blair Barbier. SB had an entire team of Barbiers.

He's not going anywhere unless Paul does.
Stop dreaming. The story line is that we have shitty talent.
The Mainieiri/Sanchez backers are blaming shitty talent and Grewe.
Nevermind Grewe should be lauded for the STACKED staff Dunn got left.
Ridiculous...

Let's start firing out his resume

We are a poorly coached team with or without Javi.

There are still 2 Paul's ND buddies still on the staff. I cant believe we had 4 at one time and Skip allowed it.

I hope when he was standing on that top step of the dugout for those last 9 outs he was thinking, "How did I let our hitting and outfield become so weak? Why did I take the Championship Tour instead of busting my butt to recruit more players to get us back?"
Skip Bertman still has stroke at LSU. I can't believe I'm about to say this, but Skip needs to let it be known that our hitting is atrocious and people need to be held accountable. We paid top dollar for a pitching coach, and look at what he has done. Why do we settle for a hitting coach who has zero on his resume?

I hope PM was taking notes tonight on how college baseball is being played today. Hitting singles instead of looking to hit the three-run homer. Extending at-bats as long as possible to make the pitchers work even harder. It might be a little boring and not "Gorilla Ball", but it wins you 50+ games. Just ask Stony Brook. They're playing next weekend. Hanging on to Javi could end up costing PM his job, I hope he understands that!

Skip? You mean the Skip who retired but still wanted his name on baseball camp so we didn't get Blanco, etc. and had to settle for a guy who wasn't good enough of a coach o even think he should have a camp named after him?

LSU needs to force PM's hand here and get rid of Javi. Seriously. If PM doesn't like it, he can pack his bags with his babysitter, idgaf.
Posted on 6/10/12 at 11:17 pm to GeismarGeauxer
He needs to hire Mike Marron

Wrong. Sorry, but coming out of high school, the kids at LSU were much more highly recruited than the current players on the Stony Brook roster. Difference: they were COACHED. That was probably the best hitting college team that I have ever seen and, aside from the 3rd baseman, they were phenomenal defensively as well. That defense, paired with extremely poor discipline at the plate for LSU, made a mediocre pitcher look outstanding tonight.
We need a good hitting coach. Period.
