UConn was loaded last year with a lot of good juniors that went pro. This Stony Brook team has a lot of seniors. It's reasonable to think that UConn couldn't sign everyone and went with the guys with more upside. Like George Springer or Matt Barnes, who are better than anyone Stony Brook has on their team right now.
Boston College has been in a slow steady decline for a few years now.

UConn had like 8 draft picks last year, including 2 first round picks. They also made a Super Regional.
