As with any young team, there will be growing pains.

i hope that we have some next year, honestly

i think that with gordon/kaman/okafor healthy all year we scrape into the playoff this year

i don't want us to tank next year, but if there are some growing pains that keep us from the playoffs, while we still show flashes of being awesome, i'd be really happy. i think that's the best way to put it

oh, and in another thread people said they'd only trade #1 for durant or lebron and they expect him to be the 3rd best player in the NBA. insane, insane expectations

I don't disagree with this. I just think the likelihood is that we at least sniff the playoffs or sneak in with a lower seed. And I don't think it will significantly hurt the long our long term prospects.

Co-sign.

Demps is going to have to hit on lower picks sooner or later if they want any staying power.

if we want to make the playoffs, the team is gonna have to get some more scoring. We will probably have AD, Oak, and Aminu/Ariza starting. I'm not expecting major scoring numbers from AD in his rookie year, so that should be a pretty bad offensive front court overall. That leaves Jack and Gordon on the starting lineup. Will have to get someone else who can really score in the draft or free agency if we want to be in the postseason.

I like the idea of drafting another big at 10, but we could be pretty terrible offensively if we don't address the scoring issue

ya, looks like he has the makeup to be a solid nba player. would hopefully fix some of our scoring problems, especially with three point shooting. Drafting him would mean Ariza's probably gone though, which i'm not really against

There are these weird things they have in the NBA. I believe they're called "trades" and "free agent signings". I have it on good authority that Demps and Monty had a meeting with David Stern, and he explained to them how it works. Good things ahead.

Im thinking 3-6 seed. But we still may be drafting in the lottery if montey/dell stick a banana in someone's tailpipe.(some kind of trade deal this summer)
