The ticket office is not the joke in this situation. you waiting til 10:45 to pick up your tickets is the joke.

Well im in lafayette and couldnt leave as early as i wanted to. The other thousand people in line could have got theirs earlier though. That would have helped me out.

if they weren't scanning tickets when the game was stopped, i don't understand why they want to see tickets when it resumes.

This isn't an LSU thing. LSU has had rain delays before and would just let the fans back in.

This is not an LSU home game. This is an NCAA playoff event. This is like when the Women's BB team happens to host the first and second round of the tournament at home. That is why you need your ticket again.

Also:

quote:

NCAA REPRESENTATIVE MIKE KNIGHT

Opening Statement...
"I just spoke with NCAA officials, as well as ESPN, and they asked us to think about moving the game time up 30 more minutes for television, but we just made an executive decision that we are going to stick to the 10:05 a,m. game time. Also, you need Game 1 tickets for the completion of the 10:05 a.m. start game, and Game 2 tickets for the start of the second game. That is the purpose of the 50 minutes in between."

I asked before i left and i was told you just have to show your ticket.

Then I'm just gonna take my ticket from game one & enter the game. Walk down away from the ticket takers & hand it to a friend thru the fence. Problem solved!

So they are going to scan tickets this morning, not simply look at them?

They didn't scan anyone out yesterday. They gonna scan people "in" today?

Makes no sense. I guess they can "reset" and start over.

I think they would be going on the assumption that everyone left. If someone stayed last night in the stadium in hopes of sneaking someone in today, they lose.

Really, with e-tickets no way they don't clear the computers and scan. People would be printing tickets like billy cannon prints dollas...

that is my guess LSU will tell the computer,"We scanned everyone out last night." that being said, I'm sure someone had a ticket that got so wet that it won't scan now.my guess is that they would simply let him in just by showing the water logged ticket.

Why don't you all just reprint the Game 1 ticket before you go this morning? That's what I did. Really not a big deal guys.

Because I don't have e-tickets and I'm not the season ticket holder so I can't get a reprint.

AKA Im fricked.

I live 5 miles away and would be happy to go there and cheer like a mad man. I'm even more than happy to pay for the ticket. BUT

Looks like they would rather have 4,000 people there and a line at the ticket office during the game winning hit.

Seriously? frick ESPN. 9:30 game and ruin our homefield advantage for your precious fricking TV audience of no more than 10,000 across the country to watch Arizona play St. Johns.

Yeah, I'm mad.
