God Mike Bloomberg is so horrible. This is the same guy who banned bake sales from schools, but then will go and cut school funding. Can't wait till this guy is out of office

I like this legislation for the simple fact it's the government mocking fatasses by telling them they can't control themselves.

Yeah, New York is a ghost town these days.

I heard they're going to bulldoze Brooklyn and everything north of 50th Street in Manhattan and just make it a nature preserve.

Dumbass.

nyc population has gone down every year that bloomberg has been in office. I didn't say it's a ghost town, but 1.5 million people have left.

Thanks for playing.

I have a hard time comprehending how people think it's a good idea for the government to tell you what you can and cannot get to drink at mcdonalds.

in theory it sounds great....until you realize you have to subsidize his medical care when he has diabetes, heart disease, liver disease, kidney failure, etc

You can still get 2 liters in stores and such. But if they sell fresh cooked food then you aren't allowed to make a decision

What the frick are you talking about? The ACA is pretty much the same as the mandate that you have to buy auto insurance.

So any regulation of your life is going to come from an insurance company, who will use the government to impose their will on you.

If you want to get angry about the ACA, be angry at the insurance industry.

If you expect the government to pay for your healthcare then the government had the right to limit your intake of crap

Here is the problem. I dont want their fricking healthcare. I DO NOT want this abomination of a healthcare system they are about to force on us. I am perfectly happy with the healthcare I have right now.

It promotes quality service from my doctors

It keeps my doctor's office relatively clear from crap. You don't have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment when you are sick.

And it doesnt make me or anyone else a slave to their system where we get oppressed by their ridiculous laws that take away our right to choose what the frick I have for godamn lunch and what I wash it down with.

So no Mr. Kaptin Wannabe, I dont expect them to pay for shite. I would rather pay myself and get better quality care and keep my personal rights.

If you currently have health insurance, nothing is going to change for you.

Do you even know what the ACA actually is, or do you just take talking points from others?

(Full Disclosure: I don't like the ACA because it caters to the health insurance companies)

yea so would I. But that's not realistic. Your car insurance rates are higher depending where you live because you have to pay for other terrible drivers and uninsured motorists. It's how it is.

We don't have a true free market for insurance and until we do, NO ONE can get made at places like NYC for doing crap like this

If we had a "true free market" for insurance, then FEWER people would be insured and your rates would be even higher.

People are responsible for the cost of insurance, the insurance industry's prices reflected that. That is basic econ 101.

Doctors having to carry crazy amounts of malpractice insurance b/c of sue happy people, people running to the emergency room for every little scratch, the countries obesity problem and the health care cost that come with it, etc, etc.
