Message Posted by Wooly stupid question here, but we are number 7 seed, so do we host super regionals as well?

Potentially, 2 of the seeds that are ranked 1-6 would have to lose for us to host a super.

You are joking hopefully. All top 8 national seeds host as long as they win.

Kentucky should not have 16+ teams rated ahead of them... Florida #1 in the nation???... Miami as a #1/#10 national seed is very questionable!

Just glad we didn't get SELA.
That would have been a catastrophe.

As an NLU alum, but a HUGE Tiger fan, this is interesting. But, gotta go with the Big Boys!

Yep, this is a cakewalk. The paranoid "committee hates us" crowd needs to be served a huge helping of crow.

You folks thinking we have it easy may not have been watching this year. We just lost two in a row to Miss St. Something like 15 of our wins this year were by 1 run and our closer has been throwing batting practice lately. Miami surely has a tougher mid-week schedule than we do so don't laugh at their record. In no way would they be intimidated by playing at the Box in the Supers. I love cake as much as the next guy but let's keep it real here: this is an over-achieving good team, not a dominant team (unless Gausman pitches - wish we had three of him). Best scenario is we play well and win our Regional, UCF spends itself beating Miami and can't generate the mojo to win a Super at the Box with a CWS trip on the line.
