Loading up the boat Saturday morning I reach in the back seat to grab some stuff...little do I know my friend has filet knives laying around.

Then a friend back in Florida sends me this pic.
These are just some of my latest follies. I'm sure y'all have some good stories.

When I was a youngin my buddies and myself were doing some creek fishing. Older brother of my friend got hooked in the eye lid (no pics and they would be terrible quality anyways). Some people never learn to pay attention to their surroundings when casting.

I've been hooked once, and it sucked.

I've been pretty lucky and only had minor injuries.

Earlier this year I did let my trolling motor down on my big toe. That hurt pretty bad.

My buddy ran smack arse into a cypress tree doing mach 3 down the Franklin hunting club boat ditch one 20 degree morning. I got ejected and landed head first like a lawn dart into the bank. Resulting injuries were 2 broke toes, a busted nose, multiple scrapes/contustions and a pretty good case of hypothermia.

Had a sharp piece of bamboo go through the webbed area between my thumb and finger

Horses water trough was froze one morning and I had a lock blade knife so I started chipping at the ice. Squeezing the handle I pressed the lock button and when I jammed the knife down it closed on my pinkie finger and just about sliced it off

while trying to get a rattle trap out of a lady fishes mouth it shook its head and sent a trebble hook through the bottom of my thumb and out the nail.

We were moving some big fish from one floor chest to another a month or two ago. It was really smooth, but I wasn't. I picked up about a 40 pound cobia and went to step over the box, but someone slipped. I tend to not wear shoes out there (bad idea), so I ended up fracturing a toe and damn near peeling the nail off of it. It was not fun. Hobbling around on the boat for the rest of the trip was awkward, as well. Honestly, the worst part was worrying about flesh eating bacterias, so I ended up wrapping the toe up like a mummy.

It wasn't me, but a good friend's dad was nailed in an artery by a hardhead one time. It was frightening. His leg was squirting blood all over the boat.

2 years ago I was doing a little chainsaw work at the camp. I was trying to slice some brush from around the base of a tree so I could cut it when all of a sudden I cut my leg. I had to get 112 stitches. My BIL was with me and was driving me back to the camp on the 4-wheelar and passed out from the sight of all the blood. So I drove us back to the camp. When his dad saw him passed out he started freaking out thinking something was wrong with him until he saw my leg.
