That's tough. I'd honestly consider Chimes East to get away from campus area. Happy hour gulf oysters .35cent(had some last week and they were good), boudin balls, blackened gator, Sauteed/fried crab claws etc. Good beer selection and just pass apps.
I don't care if it gets hate on here or not
they have solid apps and great draft selection and happy hour oysters daily. I just get in and out before 8 and sit in bar or patio area.

Chimes East is a pretty good idea, he will be staying on oneal ln, so it's not too far from where he will be at.
