If so:
What brand?
Advantages?
Can it be used for worm fishing with small weights?
How strong is it compared to mono?

I want to try it.

Yep. Them mangroves are picky on the rigs so I can't use braid or mono.

Haven't fished bass at the rigs, so this didn't help

Seaguar. The Berkley and Stren stuff I tried was crap.

Lower stretch and visability over mono and it sinks.

You use Big Game now, so anything made will be an improvement.

Weaker than all mono, except Big Game.

That's it!
I challenge you to a fishing duel at Toledo Bend.
I will use nothing but Berkeley Big Game and you can use any line you want.

The thousands of fish I have caught are testimony that Big Game works.
I think you got a bad batch one time.

BTW I have been wearing my Teva's everyday..They are really comfortable.

You are calling it "line"... because of its expense, most people just use it for leader offshore. I don't know anyone who has actually spooled up a whole real with it unless you fish for green trout perhaps.

I use Yo-Zuri HD Fluorocarbon (its pink) for mangroves and tuna.

I may buy the leather ones for non-boat applications. They are that comfortable.

I just use it for bass...seaguar is around $20 for 200yds and legit, they are the original makers of fluorocarbon...I use something like big game as filler and tie a uni and spool the rest with the seaguar, just enough so that it won't get to the knot on a long cast

My main question now is:
Is it as strong as mono? Stronger/Weaker?

I would think test is test, but Big Game shoots that theory down.

i haven't noticed a difference...i do find fluoro doesn't last as long as mono, it tends to break on the hookset if its been on the spool for awhile...i may have to try the line conditioner mentioned in the other thread, never heard of using that before

Cannot understand the hatred for Big Game..

I can pull my 22' boat with it when i'm hung.

That felt good to type.

Will try the Seaguar, but i think i tried it before and hated it.
