Wendell Davis
Davis played from 1984-87 with the LSU Tigers and was a two-time All-American. He led LSU to the Southeastern Conference (SEC) championship in 1986 before earning SEC Most Valuable Player honors in 1987. Davis holds the LSU mark for most receptions in a career with 183 and is second in school history in receiving yards with 2,708.

Faulk is a guarantee - and maybe Faneca from the same era (but I think the CFBHOF is more likely to reward guys who stayed 4 years, as we progress into the "declare early" era).

The question is - anybody between Alexander and Faulk.

Nacho Albergamo (does all of the academic stuff push him over the edge?)

Tommy Hodson (senior season probably sinks him)

Kevin Mawae (best player during worst period in LSU football history - recall he played over half of his games out of position, mainly at LT because he was our best lineman - imagine if he had played the bulk of his games at the position he would earn 8 pro bowl berths in the NFL...)

Chad Kessler (do they induct specialists?)

The reality is - Bert Jones and Warren Capone are NOT in the CFB HOF. Stovall didn't get in until 2010. I would like Mawae's talent to be recognized (is he even a shoe-in for the NFL HOF?), but I'm not overly optimistic. I think Faulk gets in, but the next crop of LSU players in the CFB HOF will start with the Bradie James/Marcus Spears era. James, Spears, Josh Reed, Dorsey, and Peterson will all get strong consideration.

Gotta go with Dalton Hilliard--he pre-dates Faulk, although Falk exceeded his yardage.

Of course the CF HOF has that stupid rule that only allows one player from any one college every OTHER year.

Dalton Hilliard is one of my favorite players, but he just does not have the accolades and gaudy, SEC-leading all purpose yardage that Faulk does. He does have 44 touchdowns, which might keep him in consideration (all I remember him doing is scoring or getting to the 1 inch line, both LSU and the Saints).

Faulk has the definitive Houston game where he was the comeback, plus his contributions to the LSU turnaround.

Hilliard had to share the backfield with Gary James which took a lot of carries/ yardage away from him.
