Is this show worth watching after season 5? I know that the story line Kripke had planned out ended with the season 5 finale, and he actually left the show as well. I'm three episodes into season 6 and it kind of sucks so far. Definitely the worst 3 episodes of the entire series IMHO

I've seen a few episodes from season 6 and 7 and they seem pretty good I just keep forgetting to watch them.

I didn't really enjoy season 6 all that much. And the ending kinda seemed like the series jumped the shark more than it had previously. I haven't even tried to watch an episode from season 7. Dunno if I really want to actually.

definitely the pinnacle of the show. season 6 had its moments and if you are a big fan as i am you will enjoy it at times but season 7 has been utter crap imho. i only continue to watch it out of loyalty but they are saying season 8 will redeem it as they are getting rid of one of the writers or whoever the person is that has been making the plot lines this season

The season 5 finale felt like a series finale, probably due to Kripke leaving. The first 5 seasons were all really good too. Seems like maybe it should have just ended there instead of CW dragging it out

The end of season six with the "big" surprise was probably the last time I've seen the show

Season 7 is better. They returned to the simple formula from the early seasons. Season 6 was basically a plot to 'reset' the series to get rid of all the overpowered beings necessary for the first 5 season story arc.

Episode 15 from season six is a top five episode easily.

It is worth watching because the characters are great.

yeah, Im all for the comedy, and the monster hunting. But all the overpowered beings did get old.

It seems season 7 is hit and miss, some on here claim to have enjoyed the episodes since it goes back to the roots, while others seem to be following just out of dedication and not really joy.

Season 7 started slow, but is getting better and better. I love Dean's one liners.

Yeah Season 7 starts picking up. I really liked the Dragon Tatoo episode. That scene where Sam was laughing at Dean in the van had me rolling.

my thoughts... the first five seasons are excellent. Had the show ended right there, it would be one of my favorite shows of all time. Season 6 & 7 leave a lot to be desired when compared to the first 5 seasons. 6 & 7 may be sub-par compared to the first five, but I still think they are better than most crap on TV. So to answer your original question... Yes, it is worth watching, imo. You just can't expect the same quality of the previous seasons.

the first 6 episodes were pretty weak then its start getting pretty good. Episode 9 is awesome

Episode 15 could be my favorite of the ENTIRE SERIES hands down. 15-22 is pretty much money

I hear that Weekend at Bobby's is a very good episode, and it's the one I've got next. I was hoping that the slow start was mainly due to Dean's family status and transitioning from that to the brothers hunting together again rather than Kripke leaving
