re: The Giants waived Chad Jones today

How sad. A promising athletic career completely undone by a random and untimely car accident.

Yeah, it was a class move by the G-men to see him through rehab and give him a shot. I mean, right after they draft him his leg almost comes off. Most teams would have ditched him or found a way to. I gained a TON of respect for the Giants seeing how they treated our boy.

What does an NFL test for when a player does his physical?

As a Cowboys fan I hate the Giants. Hate almost everything about them. This whole episode with Chad is something I have really liked about the Giants. Respect

No. you. The Giants stuck with him through his worst times. In the end it's a business, but the Maras and the Tisches were more compassionate owners in Chad's case than pretty much any other owner in the NFL would have been (except maybe the Rooneys).

+1

Throw me in with the, "Not a shitty move by NY". They have stuck it out with Chad for as long as they could. They could have waived him as soon as that car accident happen.

Best of luck CJ3. Will never forget that dude coming in to pitch in relief

Much respect to the Giants for sticking by him as long as they have through this. Most organizations would not have handled that near as classy.

Best of luck to cj, he is an inspiration

They haven't given him every single possible chance to recover and been 100% supportive at all.

They should just continue to make the excellent investment in their business of paying someone who won't ever step on the field for them.

Contrary to popular belief, the NFL is a business, not a charity.

I hate it for what happened to Chad Jones. It is absolutely awful. But at some point, you have to move forward.

Hopefully he will one day be recovered enough to get on the field again. If not football then maybe baseball. He was a hell of an athlete.

But the Giants went 10 steps above what most teams probably would have done.

Get recovered Chad. We're behind you.

This!

Also - I'm sure he could make the Mets, it's like a minor league roster there this year.

That really sucks but you can't say that the Giants didn't give him a chance. I applaud them for sticking with Chad as long as they could.

I applaud the giants, I think he just may have lost too much meat and muscle in his leg to compete. It's very unfortunate

re: The Giants waived Chad Jones today
In the video I saw of him running from about 6 months ago, he had a real hitch in his step. I knew then it was probably over for him in football. Lefty arms are always at a premium in baseball though, and I'd love to see him get back in baseball shape and give it a go.
