Yeah, it was a class move by the G-men to see him through rehab and give him a shot. I mean, right after they draft him his leg almost comes off. Most teams would have ditched him or found a way to. I gained a TON of respect for the Giants seeing how they treated our boy.

As a Cowboys fan I hate the Giants. Hate almost everything about them. This whole episode with Chad is something I have really liked about the Giants. Respect

Throw me in with the, "Not a shitty move by NY". They have stuck it out with Chad for as long as they could. They could have waived him as soon as that car accident happen.

Contrary to popular belief, the NFL is a business, not a charity.
I hate it for what happened to Chad Jones. It is absolutely awful. But at some point, you have to move forward.
Hopefully he will one day be recovered enough to get on the field again. If not football then maybe baseball. He was a hell of an athlete.
But the Giants went 10 steps above what most teams probably would have done.
Get recovered Chad. We're behind you.

Also - I'm sure he could make the Mets, it's like a minor league roster there this year.

In the video I saw of him running from about 6 months ago, he had a real hitch in his step. I knew then it was probably over for him in football. Lefty arms are always at a premium in baseball though, and I'd love to see him get back in baseball shape and give it a go.
