They won't giver her a scholly though. Track scholarships are highly coveted and often reserved to lure in international recruits

best advice would be keep working hard and improving and if LSU is where she wants to be then dont be shy about reaching out to the coaches

Good for her. I love my Tigers but a degree from Yale or Brown would go a long way in life if she's not considering turning pro in track.

My niece was emailed by LSU yesterday at this time they told her she needs to drop her time a little. As of right now they would love for her to walk on. Love me some LSU and would love her to attend school at LSU, but Texas,Baylor, Miami, Arkansas, and some more are more interested. I'm still happy for her though.

Goal for next season should be 11.5x-11.6x. She gets there I think she has a good shot as this should be top 10-15 in the nation.

I concur - anything like 11.58 to 11.61 is in the ballpark for LSU, and many teams (would be a top time in many states). Anything under 11.58, I think she picks the school, not the other way around.

Ditto for around 23:9x in the 200, although it is less likely to go as pure 200 because the teams need 100 and 400 runners for relays - if you do 200, you almost need to do one of the other events, at least well enough to compete on a relay team.

She ran a 24.40 in the 200m at USATF and ran at Junior Olympics in Humble,Texas. After summer running she was ranked #27 out of 1600 runners. She training right now, she begins indoor track in Jan. I believe she coming to run at a indoor meet at LSU. She got alot of work to do before the season start.

That 24.44 time, if wind legal, would be an outstanding time at the lower divisions of NCAA ladies track, in some places it would set or tie a school record and would place in many meets in Division I-AA and Division II. The list of schools interested in your girl speaks volumes. Good luck.

Thanks Ace Midnight it was wind legal. She is getting top school interest, she just need the proper training I think they know that. Majority of SEC schools have contacted and talked to her suppose to take a couple visits.
