I am an age where I remember Martin as a Saint not as a tiger

But loved him as a saint

Larry Foster was pretty good on the field. 98 season went down the tubes when he snatched a purse.

Carlos Carson. But that's only because he was one of the first players I remember as a kid, and I always loved that name. Also, 5 catches for 201 yards and 5 TDs in one game.

Best? I'd have to go with Josh Reed. At some point, you just can't argue with the numbers. And whereever that point is, it is somewhere south of 108 catches for 1979 yards (counting the bowl game, like they do now).

josh reed followed closely by eric martin

but I have really liked many of them making it hard to choose, since they all have great things about them.

Mediocre speed but he had a chest like an oil drum, and he was tough as a $3 steak!

I still remember his catch in traffic against Nebraska. I thought it was special until I saw him do it 100 more times for the Saints.

Mine is Eric Martin....lots of great ones to chose from, but ET never fumbled (in pros either, I think 2 times in 11 years in NFL)....

I was in the Dome when he fumbled once. He caught a ball over the middle and had one safety to beat. He stiff armed the safety in the face with his left while waving the ball around with his right hand. The safety slapped the ball loose and the Rams recovered, but there was a flag...face masking on EM! We thought we had a TD and the next minute the Rams had the ball near midfield

It was uncharacteristic of that great player, but man, that was one boneheaded play!

I think Martin has some unreal record where he only ever missed 6 balls as a pro that were thrown as catchable...only lost two fumbles in 11 years as a pro also I heard...the guy would have made a mint if he played in last two decades, possesion guy who goes over the middle and never drops a pass....btw his only son now plays hs ball and is a possible D1 guy...
