I just like how much of a utility player Clayton was.
He was a Holy Terror on punt coverage.

Mine is Eric Martin....lots of great ones to chose from, but ET never fumbled (in pros either, I think 2 times in 11 years in NFL), had great hands, was a star on good and not so good teams and good blocker. Played RB as Frosh, converted to WR.

I really enjoyed watching Tony Moss. He could get some yards after the catch.

JOSH frickIN REED

"While at LSU, Reed was one of the most productive receivers in college football. In only two years as a wide receiver (his freshman year he played running back for most of the season and he declared for the NFL draft after his junior season) he rewrote the SEC record books. He holds the SEC record for receiving yardage in a game (293 vs. Alabama in 2001) and season (1,740 in 2001). He also held the career receiving yardage record with 3,001 yards until 2002 when the record was broken by Georgia receiver Terrence Edwards. Reed also holds the SEC season record for receiving yardage per game (145.0 in 2001) and is second in the career receiving yardage per game (96.8)."

Eric Martin; Big dude could take any hit in the middle. If only made that catch in the EZ vs Bama 79 ( 0-3 L)in the rain! Oh Well!

Reed was best, but Michael Clayton is the big homie, so I gotta rock with him. He wasn't from Glen Oaks, but we gave him a pass for many summers

Unless your list of "best" (not necessarily "favorite") includes Wendell Davis and Josh Reed, it is incomplete.

Who was the fast, little receiver who got 6 TD's against Rice in the late 70's or early 80's ?

Wendell Davis, he could tight rope the sidelines and he had fly paper for hands. I bet you can count one one hand how many drops he ha while at LSU.

Carlos Carson..another top wr in college and nice pro career- like ET...reed and M Calyton never did much in pros compared to Martin, but not all their fault...
