Jordan Jefferson was able to connect on a few key deep balls here and there throughout the season, and Jarrett Lee was terrific for the first half of the year

The cry might have gone out by Bayou Nation to have given Lee a shot when Jefferson failed to move the offense

does not equal

but that wasn’t going to work; there was no passing attack to bail the team out of the jam

Here is the reason WHY "Bayou Nation" was so irritated. LSU actually HAD a passing attack with Lee at the helm. Enter JJ and that goes completely away. Check out the passing stats toward the end of the season...it was maddening. For him to say there "was not passing attack" when he already admitted how good Lee was earlier in the season is a bit ridiculous and underlines completely our frustration with that game. It wasn't losing, it was losing the way we did.

We didn't have a "passing attack".

Not hatin, just the objective truth.
Both were doing well until meeting top 5 defenses.

Jordan Jefferson 33/50 464yds previous 3 games, 5/13 30yds 0int vs UGA.

Jarret Lee 34/47 457yds previous 3 games, 3/7 24yds 2int vs Gumps.

As porous as the OL was 1-9, I wouldn't have expected much from Lee either.

Better luck next year, with Mett having more time under Krags and a more refined pass O.
I think an extra season under Krags to undo the left over "Wizardry" will help the O a lot.
