I know there are thousands of Mexican places in Dallas, but what are some of your favorites? I've only been there once or twice so not even close to scratching the surface there.

Fuel city tacos!!

Texas Monthly did spread couple years ago for the best tacos in the state...this place won. We went soon after and tried and they were amazing!! Also get the cup of corn served by the ladies outside

Don't know if they have a Chuys there or not, but I've been to one in both Austin and Houston and its awesome. Big as your face burrito FTW

My favorite taco shop is called El Atoron. I go to it pretty often. LINK

El Fenix isn't bad and Chuy's is just another Tex-Mex place. Some people like Manny's too.

Mia's (on Lemmon ave....not mia coccina)-My favorite. It will be crowded and they have a postage stamp size waiting/ bar area. But its worth it.
Desperados (Upper Greenville-north of Mockingbird)
Avilla's (Maple St....sort of in the Barrio)
Chuy's (at Knox-McKinney)
Marianos....more a family place but good food.

Avoid:
Javiers-overpriced avg. food w/ pretentious Highland Park people and wannabes.
Iron Cactus-just bad
Blue Goose- It was good 15 yrs ago. We've left half our food on the plate the last couple of times.
