OBJ has a lot of potential but really how good can a 5'11-6'0 wr really have. His size limits his overall potential.

I cant emphasize enough how stupid/wrong this is

Brad Wing, Mett, or TM7. When I look at potential, I say to myself,"Who can become the greatest at his position in Lsu history?"

Brad Wing has a real shot to be the best punting playmaker in Lsu history. Donnie Jones was great, but the ability to keep a punt return team honest is something that can change the game. Whoever heard of a punter spy? Seriously.

Mett sounds like a stretch, but who knows. Certainly counting chickens before they hatch here. But after the lackluster QB play of the last few years, anything decent will look like solid gold at the Qb position.

TM7 is a player that has a chance to become the greatest DB Lsu has ever seen. Even to me, who's been a staunch supporter of his long before any of you, it seems like a long shot. On my short list, I have Tommy C., Patrick P., and a toss-up with Mo-rice C. He's got the playmaker part down, I'd just like to see him continue to develop his physicality and strength to be able to be that run stopping force like PP7 was against the elite backs.

Has nobody listed Sam Montgomery yet?

Blew out his knee against Tennessee in October 2010, was back on the field for the opening game less than a year later vs Oregon.

ACL surgery has come a long way, and guys can play now just a year removed from it, but you normally don't see a return to explosiveness the first year back from the surgery. Typically the second year is when you see that return.

2012 is the second year back. I expect a huge year from Sam.

i say mingo easily. he has the most unique skill set. 6'5 with long arms, top end speed with 1st step explosion.

guys like obj are really good but no unique/elite quality at the nfl level.

Agree. I have been saying this for years. I think our two best WR will be our 5'11" guys, OBJ and Jarvis Landry. I still want the big target for our X receiver, red zone target, etc. but am glad we have guys like OBJ and Landry that can get open and catch the football. They also block well which is an under-appreciated WR skill, and as we know we like to run the football.

I think OBJ has a chance to be a Kendall Wright(Baylor, 1st round pick) type WR. He is also very good about yards after the catch.

Agree. It has to be someone right now who is nameless. It can't be "OBJ", he has ALREADY shown his potential, same with Hilliard. It has to be someone who has yet to breakout.

im kinda surprised of the lack of talk about hillaird after seeing just flashes of what he can do.. also brad wing has huge nfl potential with his variety of kicks and his AMAZING accuracy with pinning opponents within the 20 yard line

Minter will leave carnage in his wake this year. I fully expect him to be one of the best lber's we have had at lsu in a LLOONNNGGGG time

How big is Tahj Jones now? If he could ever get to about 225 or so, he'd be a freak
