What's your prediction on LSU's record after Ole Miss, Vandy & S.C.? I'll say 5-4 (2 out of 3 against Ole Miss & Vandy and 1 out of 3 at S.C.) If they finish with that record.. will that be enough for a top 8 seed?

It's gonna be close if we end up with that record.

Might have to do some work in the SEC tourney.

Would help if they could sweep Vandy.

6-3 down the stretch for LSU.

2 of 3 vs Ole miss
Sweep vs Vandy
1 of 3 @ USCe

The series to win would be South Carolina
and winning as many as you can in SEC tourney
That will carry more weight than Ole Miss or Vandy at this point

I won't be surprised at all if Ole Miss wins the series this weekend (2-1). If that happens, a sweep of Vandy is a must followed by beating USCe (2-1). IMO, this projection is more accurate and sexier for a national seed.

I think barring a major collapse (losing multiple series) in these last few series and don't go 2 and out at the SEC tourney, we're going to be a top 8 seed.

Being a top 8 seed is such an advantage to get that home field in the supers

4-5

It will all depend on where we fall in the SEC standings. If we are still top 2, I think we get a top 8 seed unless we go 0-2 in the tourney.

Agree with possibility of Ole Miss series win. Not sure on Vandy sweep. Agree that S.C. win would be big.

Just asking.. & this is more of a perception thing cause I haven't checked the stats.. Gausman seems to be getting hit more... although he's winning and Eades, seems to me, to be struggling some. Agree or no?

LSU has a better chance of a series win at South Carolina than it does at Ole Miss. I am sure they are more confident now, but Carolina's recent success has more to do with the competition (last 4 series vs. bottom 2 in East and bottom 2 in West). Ole Miss is 5-4 against the RPI top 10. South Carolina is 1-5 (probably 2-7 after this weekend).

5-4 is a safe bet. Depends on how quick CPM is to remove a starter who isn't at his best. In past years it was better to battle on with a struggling starter but this year it might be better to go to the bullpen earlier.
