Watching the replay now. Rory should have won this tourney. His putter let him down early in the round, and he had a chance to slam home the winner from 14 feet.

Alot of the guys in contention had trouble down the stretch.

Watney had a triple and a bogey on back to back holes down the stretch

Simpson bogied the 16th and took himself out of it

Points bogied 18

Points was way too happy slapping hands with fans between 17 and 18. He needed focus.

That's just the way he is. Can't be something you're not under the gun

I'm happy for rickie. Dude was clutch in the ryder cup two yrs ago.

But rory, if he's going to be the best in the world, has got to slam the door when he's at the top on the last day. I know he's got the #1 ranking, but he's not finishing tournaments off right now.

Yeah I wonder that about him. It's one thing in a major, but in these lesser tourney's he needs to have that killer instinct.

I hate to bring Tiger into it, but that is one of the main reason's why he has won 72 tournaments and the main reason why he isn't winning now.

No, that's not it. Tiger doesn't strike fear in anyone anymore. He won 72 tournaments because he looked at someone and scared them into losing, not because of killer instinct or being the greatest golfer to ever live.

At least, that's what I read on here. It must be true...

Anyone who can hit a friggin 3-wood like that should be winning EVERYTHING!

Even during his heyday, Woods didn't have that shot.

He didn't really need it when he could just pull out a 2 iron and hit it 280 in the middle of the fairway everytime.

For the record, I have never said that Rory will eclipse Tiger's resume. I have stated that I think that Rory can get to double digit majors, which I was roundly panned, and I could be wrong on that. But after a night to sleep on it, I should probably not be too disappointed in Rory's top finishes without winning them all. Tiger Woods is the greatest closer of all-time. His record when near the top of the leaderboard is un-fricking-real. Jack Nicklaus, still the greatest career of all time, had another 20 or so 2nd place finishes in majors (I ain't looking that up this morning). Nicklaus was so good, he was just always on the leaderboard. Tiger doesn't have many runner-ups cause if he was there, he was winning! Rory's career is shaping up more along the Nicklaus model. Maybe not the total number of wins, but Rory is always in the top 10. I think he's at 12/14 top tens. The Masters this year, in which he was right there going into Saturday, is the only time he's faltered to the middle of the pack.

Basically, if you always put yourself near the top, things will break your way many times.
