Swan Lake has to be from the Sunset Rubdown/Moonface, etc. family tree but that is good as well.

The Cadillac Black and Dr. John because they both recently released new albums, and they're both very good albums.

No doubt You've been pimping the Sunset Rubdown pretty hard for some time.

Check out those Wave Pictures songs I posted. They have an early Cure-esque sound in a lot of their songs. The new album, Long Black Cars is great. I like every song but one. Here's another one...

The man is an amazing piano player, writer, and arranger. I love his voice too, very different.

Sneaker Pimps - The Chauffer (Duran Duran cover)

I never knew this cover existed, and upon clicking your link I was preparing for the worst, because Duran Duran's version is one of my personal favorite songs of all time (by far my favorite Duran Duran song.) I actually like the SP version. Thanks for sharing.

Handover by Skinny Puppy was finally taken out of my car's CD players after weeks and replaced by The Jam, which I'm currently into.

From the last one I posted you get that 80's sound, but most of it is different. In my OP Stay Here and take care of the chickens is the only other song off the new one that I can find where they're not live in a club.

But that is more representative overall.

Time of the Season is a classic

It's good, but I prefer about half the album over that track.

Try these:
Hung Up On A Dream
Care Of Cell 44
A Rose For Emily

Yeah, somebody broke that cover on me after I posted The Chauffer as a fave Duran Duran song on the OT about a year ago.

Dude, I apologized out loud to my dog last week for making him listen to That's Entertainment for the 11,744,843rd time. Timeless shite there.

LINK

This is a kickass live version by DD that I found the other day. Someone brought Duran Duran up and The Chauffeur is about the only song by them that holds up for me today.

Just today I was trying to decide if O&O is my favorite album from the 60s. I've narrowed it down to O&O, Pet Sounds, and The White Album.

I assume you have heard The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society. If not, you should definitely look into it.

I actually dig the 80's Kinks. Check out Word or Mouth.
