If you want a good tire that's gonna last, you're gonna spend good money for them.

I just got some Mickey Thompsons the other day and they are pretty rowdy. My initial impression is that they are a bit noisy, but the traction is awesome. Can't find a better looking tire for the money.

There is a whole thread on this a few weeks back.

BF Goodrich All Terrain. I've had those, Bridgestone Dueler ATs and Nitto Terra Grappler ATs and I much prefer the BFGs.

Do you need new tires and are asking, or just in general? Different driving habits woudl make some tires better than others. I have had both

and these

The second tires road much better, quieter. I put lots of highway miles on both sets got 60k miles...

I've had the Dueler a/t's in the past. They are great road tires and they last forever.

I read reviews on this tire and seems like they have a short life. People were saying the treads wore down quickly.

I want the, but i can't get a solid answer, they are either great and long lasting, or shitty and wear quick

I've heard the same about BFG A/T's, but many on this board disagree

Agree.

Went from BFG All Terrain T/As to Bridgestone Dueler A/T based on reveiews at Tirerack.com/

Great decision.

Improved handling, ride, and much less road noise. And they're holding up well.

Off road, not much difference I can tell once the rear tires are down to 20 PSI. But my truck spends more time on the road than off, so:

Bridgestone Dueler A/T>>>>BFG All Terrain T/A IMO

YMMV

I have always used mud tires but I just got my first set of ATs for my Ford. They are BFG AT/KO. They are great for what they are. Good on road traction and good off road traction. I cannot comment on tread wear though.

I would have gotten some Mickey Thompson ATZs but I got a great deal on the BFGs. I think they are non par with each other. The atzs are probably a bit more aggressive but louder too.

My old man ran a few sets of bfg at's on his truck. Not a whole lot more life than a mud tire on a heavy truck but they are a good compromise.

Cooper discoverer st's are by far the best tire he's ever had on his truck as far
As life and still having adequate off-road traction.

Unless I bought a super-duper set, they are the longest lasting tires out of any that I have seen.

I had a pair go for 80,000 miles. 65k on a Tacoma, 5 on a 99 F150, and 10k on an old F100. They still had usable tread, but got cut by a knife when the guy drove into town one time

I actually got tired of having them and wanted to switch to a M/T
