I like Crayton a lot but agree with the others that say he's a backup plan for now. Gilmore is #1 with Lacouture being a guy the staff has as a priority. Add in Lawson as a commit with Nkemdiche and Manning still on the board. Even Frank Herron is probably ahead of him on the board.

Just watched the video on Crayton. Obviously you can tell he is DT since he doesn't have the quickness of Neal for example. But I sort of like the guy. LSU only has 1 DT committed so far, and although Gilmore's weight looks a DT to me (Rivals has him SDE), LSU could take 3 DT easily, probably need to, and really Crayton would be the 3rd even if Gilmore committed.

The other interesting change on him is that he did an interview with BulldogBlitz (MSU) 2 weeks ago and he listed the camps he had/was going to. LSU wasn't mentioned. Now, Rivals in a headline says he will be at the LSU camp. Also interesting to me is the Rivals Users ratings on the guy...I still think those are pretty accurate. Dozens of users have given him an overall rating of 4.65 which is about as high as you can get. Pagano might be a unique pickup from Honolulu, but I think I would rather have Crayton than Pagano. His attitude rubbed me the wrong way cutting down other players and then he goes to a 3rd party camp and really didn't do that hot. I also think a guy from Alabama would be less likely to transfer than a guy from Honolulu.
