he hasn't hit one yet? Holy shite

I hate to take so much joy in someone else's failure, except that I don't hate to at all.

Well, considering he is 1 for his last 22, maybe we should be asking when he gets his next multi hit game.

In reality, I just don't know when he will. His swing looks terrible, he's lunging for balls, swinging at crap out of the zone. I mean, he looks like Vernon Wells from last year. He will hit one out sooner then later, mostly because he is still pure machine. But man, his swing has been hard to watch lately.

Also looks as though he has lost some bat speed.

I would argue that that is because he has some flaws or kinks in his swing right now that is causing him to lose power. Its like in golf, when you try to hit the ball as hard as you can and you miss the ball completely or it only goes less then 50 yards.

Pujols is pressing way too much to hit one and its causing his swing to be off-kilter. His hands are way out in front of his body because he is trying to swing so hard and he loses all his power because of that. I expect him to go back to the basics soon and his swing will probably look even slower when he does, but more then likely he will start hitting it again and the power will come soon after that.

And you don't even have to be an expert to know this, just look at pictures of swing from this year to last year and you can point out everything that is wrong.

ETA: And it happens to the best hitters from time to time. He switched leagues, he probably just left his mechanics in St. Louis, but I expect that he will have it fixed very soon.

Agreed. All of this comes from pressing. The whole team is pressing it seems. They had a players only meeting this AM, which can be a good thing.

Is this a result of the new stadium(s); or is he just not playing well right now?

Not playing well + facing pitchers he hasn't faced before + hitting HRs in Anaheim can be difficult at night because of marine layer + he is pressing.

More, adjusting to the league, new team, and new city. And add in the fact that he is playing terrible and so is the team and you get this pretty bad slump.

Well, the Angels refused to believe that the guy is probably Chipper Jones' age or older, being from the dominican and all.

Typically this is a bad thing. I've never once seen in sports where a players only meeting meant good news.

Rangers are STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACKED.

Angels and AL West are FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKED.

Every time I hear them say Albert Pujols on ESPN, I think of that Family Guy cut away in Germany.

"Yes, Munich is famous for its many beer halls".

The Cards did the right thing letting him go and not panicking. They have the bats they need and he is getting old, being pitched to more (fewer walks and lower OBP), etc. Still 3-4 good years probably, but not 5 plus.
