Benford had their new center recruit Coleman already in his pocket. The parting with Odoh was mutual, therefore, there should be no restriction.
I have no problem with restrictions, but there should be some common sense. If you no longer want the guy, don't restrict him. They have replaced him with, arguably, an equal or better player. Where's the harm?

If you are saying that UNT would not have let him enroll with a scholarship or at least prefetrred that he would not then I agree with you.
But I doubt that is the case assuming this kid is anywhere near the player everyone is hoping (good enough to contribute in the SEC).
But in general it absolutely makes sense to restrict your incoming recruits from following your ex coach.
