I don't think the Saints offensive gameplan is condusive to 1k yard/season rusher. If you are counting total combined yards, maybe. But the way they swap backs in so fluidly, I doubt Ingram will be in for more than 1st down, and 3rd & short yard situations. It also depends on how fast we get the lead in games.

you do know that APY means all purpose yards, right?

Nice opinion but he wasnt talking about Mark Ingram, he was clearly telling us to mark Igram projections.

Igram is a village and municipality in western Slovakia in Senec District in the Bratislava Region. It only has about 550 inhabitants.

My projections:

The annual folk fest will be great. I look forward to Juniáles every year.

Religous breakdown:
92.5% Roman Catholics.
2.1% Evangelical Catholics
4.9% atheist

I think there will be more atheists and the Evangelicals will prob be phased out.

Probably.

I don't think the Saints' offensive gameplan is conducive to evangelicals.

Why do people keep saying we "gave up" a 1 and 2 like we didn't get a player. Maybe its just semantics but it's like some people don't factor in we got a first round pick. All we "gave up" was a 2.

Doubtful in this Off..

what do you think his peak yardage in a season will be (est.)?

At tampa bay...maybe 1400APY. Here...maybe close to 900APY

do you still think a 1st and 2nd were worth it?

Using a dumptruck full of hindsight 100% worth it. No arguement as we all now know that goodhead would have takin it from us.

no

we traded up from a 2 to get a 1 (which means we traded it) and we traded this year's 1 to do so

1 player cost 2 picks, a 1 and a 2. it's not difficult

Yes... so you are giving me crap because I said "total combined yards" instead of "APY" or "all purpose yards"? They essentially mean the same thing, I just phrased it differently.

but he is saying we got a 1 in return, therefore only losing 1 pick total. this argument can go on for days and they are saying the same thing. just depends on which way you look at it.

don't know if anyone has said it yet, BUT

remember that Goodell took away 2nd round picks...i GUARANTEE he would have taken away that 1st round pick if we hadn't traded it to the Patriots to get Mark. so THANK YOU MARK INGRAM. YOU WERE WELL WORTH IT

but some would consider two 2nd rounders worse than one 1st rounder.

especially if the 1st rounder is 25th or later.

With that being said, our 2nd rounders are theoretically both low two's as well. So its not like a low 1st being compared to a high 2. There is no right answer here. Ingram picked sucked as of now, hope he performs better but still we'll probably be heavy on the rotation. The bounty gate makes it a bit intriguing if Goodell would have taken our 1 away instead, who knows, he probably could have done a 1 this year and hold our 2 next year at stake like he's doing now still.

I still maintain we got him for a 2nd. I'm pretty positive our first this year wouldve been snatched up by Goodell. To be fair we have to give him one more year (at least). Its a pretty difficult offense to just plug him in and out. It was obvious that he was going to run everytime we put him in. The guy has the work ethic and desire to be great. let him get healthy and let's see what happens. I honestly think that measuring his total yards is not the most accurate way of determining his value. I'm more concerned about his YPC, and ability to get tough yards for us.

I agree if we have the 1st Goodell takes it but I think he would have left one or possibly both the 2nd rounders alone.

As for Ingram, forget yards or TDs, I'll set my projection at 12 games and hope for the over. Especially since half the justifications I heard for this pick was bc we needed a RB who could stay healthy.

I don't think they would have gone after Ingram if they had known that they were going to get Sproles on the cheap. Plus I think PT was still iffy with his injury. I wasn't a fan of the move (when I first heard they traded up, I was hoping it was for Bowers) but I think Ingram will really improve this season and can shine when one of the other guys inevitably goes down with an injury (hopefully not Sproles). And after the Julio Jones disaster in the Seahawks game, I can understand Payton's never wanting to be short on talented RBs.

I dont think he was worth it, and i think its pretty obvious.

1 - We dont run enough to justify spending two high draft picks. A team that runs more than they pass, sure.

2 - When we do run, we spread the ball around a lot. Under Payton, how often has a saint rushed 25+ times? rare.

3 - We've found excellent value in mid-late raounds and in FA for RB, which makes more sense considering the first two bullets.

Im sure some of you homers will rip me up for being critical (blasphemy!).

It just doesnt make a lot of sense IMO when the defense has struggled for the better part of a decade.

this is the correct answer. and obviously they found something in the kid they liked. I'll take Sean Payton's football IQ over SFP's anyday. Whether it pans out it remains to be seen.....but how many people can we say under the Payton era have been complete busts in the first round?
